It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Dlugosz (nee Kanyo), who left us after illness on October 7 2024 at the age of 92. She is survived by her children Rosemary, John, Michael and Kathryn.  Mary was a loving grandmother to Jennifer, Andrea Kathleen (Alex), Andrea Mary, David (Larissa), Adam (Lisa), Carolyn (Brian), Matthew (Jill), Scott (Nam) and Arden, and cherished great-grandmother to Harper, Jane and Charli Mae.

She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Lawrence, her father and mother Leslie and Rose Kanyo (nee Bado), and her sister Julia Bosnjak.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the doctors and nursing staff of Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital for their kindness, care and support of their mother, Mary, during her last month while in hospital.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10th at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home located at 64 Lakeshore Rd. W, Oakville ON L6K 1E1 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 11th at St. Matthew's R.C. church, 1150 Monk's Passage, Oakville ON L6M 1M2 at 11:00am with a reception to follow in the Church hall at 12:00 p.m. If you are unable to attend, the Mass will be available to watch via the internet (www.saintmatthew.ca/live)

The Internment Service will be held following the reception at York Cemetery, 160 Beecroft Rd, North York ON, Section B, Lot 3020 at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, if you wish, please make a donation in Mary's remembrance to The Society of St. Vincent DePaul or The Canadian Cancer Society.
