It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Rose Bakaic. Rose passed away peacefully in her sleep October 19 ^th , 2022 at her home in Oakville. Rose was the beloved daughter of Margaret and Stanley Bakaic, sister of George Bakaic and his wife Emi and aunt to Emilia and husband Todd, Michael and Luke.

Rose was born in Kovin, Serbia and came to Canada with her family in 1963. Rose enjoyed music, soap operas, knitting and numerous activities including those organized with the CNIB and at Post Inn Village. Throughout her life, Rose always believed that she could overcome obstacles, and she did with grace and positivity. Sweet Rosie will be forever remembered in our hearts and deeply missed by her family, friends and those that knew her. We would like to give a special thank you to the loving staff and friends at Post Inn Village Oakville for the wonderful care and compassion that Rose received while she lived there.

Visitation will be held on Sunday October 23, 2022 from 5-8pm.

A prayer service to celebrate the life of Rose will be held on Monday October 24, 2022 at 1 pm in the Kopriva Taylor Chapel followed by interment at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery, Oakville.  All are invited to a reception at Kopriva Taylor following the graveside prayers.

In honour of Rose's memory and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Canadian National Institute for the Blind or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
