It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Yvonne Feeney at Northridge Long Term Care in Oakville. Predeceased by her loving husband John Richard Feeney (2000), she leaves behind her beloved husband William Arthur Bowen and his sons Scott, Mark & families. Cherished mother of John Edward "Jef" (deceased) Lyn Simms (Richard), James Peter "Jim" (Bonnie), Patricia Kathleen (Drew Birkett), Joel Richard (Suzanne), Owen David (deceased) Connie Stuart (John). Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Mark (Carolyn), Erin (Adam), Tara, Shauna (George), Peter (Maite), Sierra, Brendan, Robin, Caitlin and Jake. As well as working at O.T.M.H. as a registered nurse for many years, Yvonne was a talented singer and sang in the Church of Epiphany choir for over 40 years. Known for her "Green Thumb", her gardens were much enjoyed by everyone who visited her home in Oakville. She will be fondly remembered for her caring, generous nature and adventurous spirit. Sincere thanks to the staff at Northridge for their compassionate care over the last several months. As per Yvonne's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on January 31st at 10am at the Church of the Epiphany, 141 Bronte Road, Oakville. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society.
