On Monday October 11, 2010 at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, Bill in his 84th year went home with his Lord. Beloved husband of Roma for 56 years. Dear father of Warren (Barbara), Peter (Phyllis) and Gordon (Sandra). Loving Papa of six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Greatly missed by his brother Peter (Moira) and family in Australia. Bill was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church and Choir for 52 years and Elder for 24 years. He was Representative Elder to the Presbytery of Brampton and twice Delegate to General Assembly. Founding member of the Hopedale Presbyterian Choir and member of the Presbyterian Centennial Choir, member of Ontario Barbershop Association, Engineer for Ontario Hydro for 38 years. Bill will be missed by a wide circle of friends and associates. A Service of Witness and Celebration of The Ressurection in our Lord Jesus Christ with Thanksgiving for the Life of Bill Browne will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Knox Presbyterian Church, 89 Dunn Street, Oakville with visitation one hour prior to service.
