Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we must say goodbye to John who passed away at the age of 69 on Saturday, January 15, 2022.  Beloved husband of Carolyn (Lyn).  Loving father of Rebecca and Benjamin.  Dear brother of Susan, David (Monika) and Nancy Maloney.  Loved son of William (Bill) and Faye.  Always active, John enjoyed sailing, long walks, travel and the cottage.  A certified PADI scuba diver, John loved diving with his dive partner and life partner, Lyn.  He was an avid sports fan following the Blue Jays, Raptors and Leafs.

John received his Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Waterloo, later earning a Master of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Through his career, John held managerial positions in food manufacturing at Campbell's Soup, Schneider's, Nabisco, Kraft and Mondelez.

Visitation will be held on Saturday January 22, 2022 from 1 pm – 2:30 pm at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville.  A service of remembrance will be held at the funeral home chapel at 2:30 pm.  Cremation has taken place.

Due to COVID restrictions, attendance at the visitation and the funeral service are by appointment only.
