Passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 8th, 2007 at Lanark Lodge. Loving husband of the late Margaret (Durward) and father of David (Pat), Susan (Larry) Bowen and Geoffrey. His grandchildren, Kirsten (Aaron) Jones, Michael, Heather and Alison and great-grandchildren Lucas and Dylan will miss his love and boundless generosity. Bill will be remembered fondly for his devotion to family and many friends, his love and intimate knowledge of Toronto and in particular the home farm in Clarkson, his pioneering in Northern Ontario hydro projects, keen interest in Canadian history and love of golf, travel and the arts, which he shared with all those who knew him. The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the staff at Lanark Lodge in Perth, Ontario. A Memorial Service will take place at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. W. (1 block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) Oakville, on Friday, April 27th, 2007 at 2 o'clock. Memorial contributions to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
