Peacefully in his sleep at Trafalgar Lodge in Oakville. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 49 years, Doreen, on June 9, 2007. Loved dearly by his daughters Linda (Paul), Bonnie (Michael) and Kelly (Ivan). Beloved Poppa of Adam and Jenna Culurnovic, and Hayley, Hannah and Hayden Yurgan. Predeceased by his parents Mary and Sherman Simpson of Welland, brothers Hugh and John Simpson, and mother-in-law Tena Crick. He will be greatly missed by his 32 nieces and nephews. Kirk and Doreen resided in Oakville all their married lives, and were faithful members of St. Andrew's Parish. Kirk was publisher of the Oakville Beaver for 14 years. He was a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus of Oakville, and a member of the Fourth Degree. He was a member of the Seniors Club where he enjoyed his morning coffee with his Brother Knights. Kirk was an avid golfer, but got most of his enjoyment spending time with his family in his backyard and pool. A heartfelt thank-you to the Renal Dialysis Unit of OTMH, Trafalgar Lodge for their wonderful care, and to all his close friends for their assistance.
