William George Richardson, known as Bill to family and friends, passed away on June 6th, 2026, in his hometown. Born on January 23rd, 1953, in Oakville, Bill's life was marked by an exuberant spirit, boundless dedication, and a rich tapestry of interests and accomplishments that enriched both his own life and the lives of those around him.

Bill was profoundly known for his remarkable dedication to Scouting, having devoted 45 years as a scout leader. His commitment to guiding young people and fostering a love of the outdoors was a testament to his character. A great outdoorsman, Bill's enthusiasm for nature and adventure reflected his generous heart and adventurous soul.

In his personal life, Bill was a devoted husband to Mary, a loving father to Patricia, and a cherished brother to Anne and James. The warmth of his relationships was mirrored in his many friendships, formed through decades of shared passions and mutual respect.

Travel, racquetball, golf, fishing, and model trains - his life was rich with a multitude of hobbies and interests, reflecting an adventurous and curious spirit that embraced every opportunity for growth and connection. Bill's presence was a source of inspiration and joy to all who knew him.

Bill faced his final days with the same courage and resilience that defined his life. After a hard-fought battle with cancer, he found comfort in the unwavering support of his numerous friends, who stood by him faithfully throughout his illness.

Family, friends, and all who admired Bill are invited to celebrate his life and legacy at a visitation on June 10th, 2026, held at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home in Oakville from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, and again from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The funeral service will follow on June 11th, 2026, at 12:30pm at Knox Presbyterian Church, located at 89 Dunn Street, Oakville, ON L6J 3C8.

Bill will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those he touched. His enduring spirit and the love he shared continue to illuminate the lives of his family and friends.
