It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bill on December 22, 2025 at Ian Anderson House Oakville Ontario with family by his side. He was the only child predeceased by his father David and mother Gladys.

Bill was a devoted husband of 58 years to Pat and proud and loving father to daughter Jane and son Dean and grandfather to Matthew and granddaughter Claire who both held a special place in his heart. He will also be missed by his sister in law Elizabeth Miles.

Bill was born in Sudbury Ontario and later moved to Windsor Ontario were he spent his younger years also attending University of Windsor and receiving his certificate in cost accounting. Bill worked for Green Giant in accounting before joining the Bank of Montreal and being transferred to Oakville Ontario in 1970.

Bill later became a Transportation Broker where he met many interesting people and made many friendships.

Bill had the love for sports and Monday night football became a ritual. His favorite team, New York Yankees (sorry Jays) and following his favorite golfers.

Bill loved the warm (hot) weather and his Caribbean holidays and especially the many cruises with friends - he was also an avid reader and clever at crosswords.

Blessing and enormous gratitude are extended to staff, PSWs, nurses and Doctor Brush at Ian Anderson House where Bill was treated with love, wonderful care & compassion.

There will be a private family celebration & burial at a later date at St Paul’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Perrytown, Ontario.
