Of Oakville, Ontario passed away peacefully at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital with family at his side on Monday, September 25, 2017. At the age of 99, William is predeceased by his beloved wife Verna (Clark) and is survived by sons Mervin, Dale, Mark, daughter-in-laws Denise, Wendy, Cindy, grandchildren Darryl (Iryna), Rhonda (Dmitry), Jason (Shannon), Jonathan (Caroline), Kristopher, Brooke, Colin and great grandchildren Lana, Claire, Alexander, Andrew and Jackson. William was born on September 20, 1918 in Quebec City, had an accomplished career in the flooring business and was a member of the Masons. The family will receive friends at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home at 64 Lakeshore Road West in Oakville from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Monday October 16, 2017. A funeral service will be held at the Knox Presbyterian Church Oakville at 89 Dunn Street at 1:00 pm on Tuesday October 17, 2017 with a graveside burial to follow.
