In his 85th year, after a courageous battle with cancer, peacefully on Friday September 23, 2011with his family by his side at his home in Oakville. Bill, beloved husband of Joan for 59 years. Loved father of Patricia (Tony), Kerry, Tony (Lorraine), Lindsay (Sinead), Catherine (Shaun) and Andrew (Audrey). Cherished Poppy of 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Survived by his sisters Agnes, June, Margaret and brother Lindsay. Bill enjoyed a happy retirement for 26 years as a snowbird.
Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Monday. Funeral mass 10:00 am Tuesday September 27, 2011 at St. James Catholic Church, 231 Morden Road, Oakville. For those who wish, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society, Oakville Branch or Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital would be appreciated.
