A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Bill passed away peacefully on October 17th at Ian Anderson House in Oakville. He was surrounded by family which gave him great comfort.
Born In Liverpool, England on June 2, 1931 he immigrated to Canada in 1954 where he met the love of his life and best friend. Margaret (Houston) and Bill enjoyed 61 wonderful years together and took great pride in their children Bill, (Karen) David (Doris) and Michelle (Tony), Grandchildren: Eric, Sarah, Kirsten, Matthew, Meghan, Michael (Anna) Iain and Great-Grandchild: Abigail.
He had a successful career in the Insurance /Reinsurance Industry retiring from Mercantile & General Reinsurance Company of Canada. He is remembered fondly by people who worked with him over many years.
Bill was an enthusiastic golfer. He enjoyed listening to and could occasionally be persuaded to play piano for small crowds (particularly when beverages were offered as a reward).
The family is very grateful for the wonderful care Bill received at Ian Anderson House and, if desired, in lieu of flowers donations to IAH would be sincerely appreciated.
