Obituary

(A faithful member of St. Aidan's Anglican Church)
With great sadness we announce Bill's passing on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 a few days after his 95th birthday. Lovingly remembered by his wife of 66 years Hazel, his daughters Janet (Jerry) and Cindy (Roy). Devoted loving Granddad to Natasha, Vanessa, Melissa and Graham (Emily). He was loved and respected by all who knew him. Overseas Veteran of World War II with the Lorne Scots and Army Service Corp. Life member of the Oakville Legion Branch 114 and in retirement years a member of the 60 Degree Club. Bill earned his living as a tradesman working for Wm. Whitaker Plumbing & Heating for a few years, then with the Department of National Defense maintaining the military homes that were in Oakville at that time. Thank you to Dr. Petrea and the wonderful caring staff on 3East at the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital for their care, love and support during this very difficult time. Visitation will take place at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) on Sunday, September 15, 2013 from 6-9 p.m. with Legion Honours at 6:30 p.m. A service of thanksgiving celebrating Bill's life will be held 11:00 am on Monday, September 16, 2013 at St. Aidan's Anglican Church, 318 Queen Mary Drive, Oakville. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to St. Aidan's Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family.
