With profound sadness the family announces the passing of William John Heeney at the age of 73 at Brampton Civic Hospital. John is survived by his wife of 54 years, Cathy (nee Whiteside) and his sons, Christopher (Alicia), their children Christiana and Rellymar and Ryan and his daughters, Emma, Maddison and Megan.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. W., Oakville, ON Saturday, April 18th, 2026 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Scouts Canada, an organization John took great pride being involved with.
