Leaving the CA firm, he managed the Audit Department at the University of Waterloo. Continuing in the finance area he worked at Crown Life Insurance and completed his career at Sun Life Assurance, heading up the Financial Analysis and Planning Area.
Bill lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed his cats, Furby and BJ, taking them to the pool area in the morning while he checked his finances. There were many celebrations or just time together with family and friends around the pool or inside at the house called Ravenswood. Several of his University friends from 50 years ago, continue to meet or have zoom calls. Their last call with Bill was on July 13.
Community Service and helping others both in time and finance was a priority. After retiring, he volunteered at Jo Brant Hospital, Habitat for Humanity, Burlington Performing Arts Centre, Crosswinds Golf Course, and Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.
