Predeceased by his loving wife Doris in 2008, his parents Wilbur and Gertrude Johnston, siblings Mary, Agnes, Russell, Donald, Ivy, nephew Dale. Survived by sister Norma, children Barbara (Larry Walsh), Mark (Pat), grandchildren Sarah, Cameron (Naomi), Scott (Laura) and Brad.

Also nieces & nephews Donna, Ivy, Valerie, Janet, James, Russell, Randy, Barry, Kenneth, David, cousin Ronald (Do), cousins-in-laws Rob (Marijo), Ashley (Ty), Joyce and Sue.
