IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Walter A.
Cristofoli
April 8, 1955 – December 5, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our brother, Walter A. Cristofoli, PhD on Dec 5th 2024
Walter was born on April 8, 1955, in S. Vito al Tagliamento, Italy, and immigrated to Canada with our parents at an early age. He is survived by his brother Elliott, his sister Elizabeth Larson, and family.
Walter was a caring and passionate individual who remained close to his siblings throughout his life. His warm and kind disposition was a comfort to us all. He was always ready to provide unconditional support and assistance to family.
Walter was deeply passionate about education. He pursued a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy at the University of Alberta, a Master of Science from the University of Calgary, and a Doctorate from the University of Calgary.
Upon graduation, Walter was sought after by The University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he shared his passion with promising students. He later pursued an opportunity in private industry at Advanced Chemtech in the USA. Following his time at Chemtech, Walter returned to Canada and accepted a position within the Engineering department at McMaster University.
Walter had many other passions, including: scuba diving, cycling, photography, as well as cooking - which was accompanied by fine wines, friends and family.
Walter, your influence on our lives was profound. As the eldest sibling, you provided us with strength and guidance, as well as memories that will forever be etched in our hearts. Your legacy of kindness, passion, and dedication will continue to inspire.
