Kim Barber passed suddenly at his supportive living home PHDABIS West in Oakville on Thursday, November 9 ^th , 2017 at the age of 62.  He is survived by his children, grandchildren, and 7 of his 8 siblings and many nieces and nephews.

Kim survived a near fatal car accident in 1982 outside Edmonton, AB which left him severely brain injured. Through the help of his family and community volunteers the need for rehabilitation and long term supportive care facilities became a necessity and reality.  Kim's life was the impetus for much of the ABI recognition and rehabilitation we have today.

Kim you touched so many lives and hearts throughout your life. You are loved and will be missed.

A memorial reception will be at the Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West in Oakville on Thursday, November 23 ^rd from 1:30 – 4pm.
