Obituary

Pat MacLean passed away peacefully at 3:30 am, January 20th, 2011. Her final days were in the care of Ian Anderson House in Oakville, Ontario.

Born in England, she is survived by her sister Bunty (Norman), her two loving sons Paul (Sally-Beth) and David (Jan), five grandchildren (Avery, Conan, Dugald, Danny and Roz) and six great grandchildren (Lachlan, Rebecca, Hunter, Malcolm, Kingsley and Giles), and her companion and dear friend, Peter Karrys. She is also remembered in England by her two nieces, Helen and Janet, and her nephew Simon.

Pat married Duncan in 1945 and came to Canada later that year as a war bride. Together they enjoyed a rich family life until Duncan passed away in 1984. Pat will be remembered for her sense of fun, love of bridge, and very independent ways. (Six weeks before she died she passed a test to renew her drivers license – '100%' she proudly announced.)

The funeral service followed by a reception will be held at St. Jude's Anglican Church, 160 William St in Oakville, at 2pm Wednesday, January 26.

In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to Ian Anderson House, 430 Winston Churchill Boulevard, Oakville, ON L6J 7X2, (905) 337-8004.
