Passed away peacefully in his 92nd year on Wednesday, December 8, 2010, at Post Inn Village in Oakville, Ontario, comforted by his sister and brother-in-law. Loving husband of the late Beatrice Jessop (London, ON). Beloved brother of Dorothy Bright and brother-in-law of Ronald Bright, of Oakville. Predeceased by brothers Claire (Tomlinson family of Alberta) and Ross (Donald Ross Tomlinson family of Sarnia and Guelph, ON). His sense of humor was a constant and will be missed. Fondly remembered by nieces Karen Bright (and Tétreault family of Kingston) and Kathy Manfredi (and husband Sam of Boca Raton, FL), and nephews Mark Bright (and family of Burlington) and Paul Bright (and family of Niagara Falls). Son of the late George Arthur Tomlinson and Viva Arelene Tomlinson (nee Nichols). Born in Brantford, ON and raised in Woodstock, ON; retired after years travelling as salesperson for a major food company. Army veteran; longtime resident of Stratford and London, ON. Friends and family may recall his love of playing cards, jokes and lottery tickets. A special thank you to the wonderful staff at Post Inn Village for their care for many years. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) in Oakville at 2 pm on Monday, December 13, 2010 followed by a brief service of remembrance at 3 pm; reception to follow. Graveside Service in London at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery & Crematorium, 303 Riverside Dr., N6H 1G2 (tel. 519-434-6504) on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 2 pm.
