IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Terrence
Heffernan
February 8, 1935 – June 20, 2019
Was born in Guelph, Ontario on February 8th, 1935 and passed away peacefully at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on Thursday, June 20th, 2019. He will now be reunited with his brother Dennis and 'Uncle Joe', as well as his beloved faithful dog Rocky. Known for his gregarious sense of humor, he will be much missed by his wife Catherine, and his children Michael (Tiffany), Maureen, Paul (d.1971) and Dennis (Kittyrose), as well as his grandchildren Nash Hudson and Kathryanna. Terry and Cathy first moved to Oakville in 1966, and Terry was well known throughout St. Dominic's Parish and Oakville for his work at the church as well as the Oakville Minor Hockey Association as a coach and convener. Terry had a versatile skill set that brought him from the racetrack to the car business to the exhibit industry and so many other stops in between. He enjoyed his last job as a crossing guard most - all the kids and dogs in the neighbourhood knew and loved Terry; and he in turn loved all of them. His kindness, wisdom and his sincere interest in people led him to find a friend in almost everyone he met.
Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr 905-844-2600) on Monday, June 24, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Saint Dominic Roman Catholic Church, 2415 Rebecca St., Oakville.

"Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity." - Colossians 3:12-14
"Sweet is the memory of distant friends! Like the mellow rays of the departing sun, it falls tenderly, yet sadly, on the heart."
– Washington Irving
