It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tamya Teresa Peralto on Monday, July 30th, after a long and valiant battle with cancer. Through her eyes, we have all seen the power of love and courage. Tamya passed away at home, in the arms of her father, surrounded by family and close friends. Tamya will be greatly missed by her parents Shelley and Dane, her sister Krysta and brother Dante, her grandparents Jeanette Smith and Lorna and Ryan Peralto and her many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the loving and caring community of the Oncology Department at Sick Kids Hospital, St. Elizabeth Healthcare, ComCare, CCAC, St. Marguerite D' Youville Elementary School, the Milligan family, The Canadian Cancer Society, Oakville Chapter, The Vipers Soccer Club and the many residents within the Oakville Community who made a difference in Tamya's life. Visitation will be held at the Glen Oaks Visitation Centre, 9th Line (at Dundas), Oakville on Friday, August 3, 2007 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Mass to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Mary Mother of God Roman Catholic Church, 2745 North Ridge Trail, Oakville.
