Passed away on Thursday, February 3 rd at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital at the age 76.
Suzanna was born in Grygajcie, a village in Lithuania in the east end of Vilnius on Dec 22, 1945 at the end of World War II. She immigrated to Canada in the summer of 1964. Survived by beloved husband Antoni Ostafin and married for 55 years. Predeceased by her brother Poitr, sister Maria and survived by sister Jadwiga. Loving mother of Zofia (Scot), Mark (Krista), Emil (Lezlie) & Stephen. Cherished grandmother of Cassandra, Kristen, Sam, Ethan, Skylar, Evan, Sadie & Eduard, Aunt to Leszek, Mirek, Yola (predeceased), Barb (John), Marilyn (Joseph), John (Adelle), Ela (Richard) and Lukasz (Anna). Suzanna was the proud matriarch of the family and loved hosting family get togethers. She was an amazing cook and thoroughly enjoyed tending to her beautiful flower gardens in the summers.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of 6 floor south at OTMH for their excellent care and compassion in her final weeks.
Visitations at 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Monday, February 7 th at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home located at 64 Lakeshore Rd. W, Oakville, ON L6K 1E1
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 8 th at St. Anthony Polish Catholic Church, 40 John Street, Oakville at 11am followed by Interment at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery.
