It is with sadness that the family of Susan Barbara Willmott (nee Bird) announces her passing on November 23, 2024, in Spruce Grove, Alberta.  Susan was born to Dr. Grant and Barbara Bird, November 14, 1959 in Toronto, Ontario.

Susan will be lovingly remembered by her former husband (Robert) and their three children, Brian (Caitlin), Shannon (Christopher), and Kelly (Darren), grandchildren Cameron and Victoria, sister Diana (Philip), brother David (Lesley), and many nieces and nephews. Susan is predeceased by her brothers Grant and Ian.

Susan attended York Mills Collegiate and the University of Guelph. She worked in the financial services sector before turning her attention to raising her family.

Susan's children will fondly remember the many imaginative ways she kept them engaged and thriving through their childhood - noticing and cultivating each child's individual skills in creative ways. She will be remembered for her thoughtfulness as well as her ability to connect people and to bring warmth and joy to any occasion. We will always be proud of her perseverance in the face of adversity, and we will greatly miss her animated storytelling and contagious laugh.

A celebration of life will be held at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral home in Oakville, Ontario on Saturday May 31, 2025 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm with a short ceremony at 1:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honour her life can make a donation to the charity of their choosing.
