It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Susan Christine Hunt on March 11, 2026, in Oakville, Ontario, at the age of 75.

Susan will be remembered as a devoted wife, mom, nanna, sister, aunt, and friend whose greatest joy in life was spending time with the people she loved. Often she could be found tending the garden or travelling with her cherished husband of 54 years, Steve Hunt, and their dog, Harley.

She was a proud and loving mother to her three daughters: Joanne Arcand (Chris), Jackie Hunt (Allison), and Deborah Hunt-Kansal (Vivek). Her greatest joy came from her role as “Nanna” to William Arcand, Avery Arcand, Samuel Kansal, Benjamin Kansal, and Oliver Kansal, for whom she was always ready with a joke, story, game, or a tin of cookies.

Susan was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Elsie Walpole, her sister Carol, and her brother Paul. Her many nieces and nephews, as well as their families back in the UK, share in the sadness of this time.

Susan will be remembered for her kindness, patience, strength, and the unconditional love she gave so freely to those around her. She had a beautiful spirit that touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held in her honour at the studio, Gairloch Gardens, 

Tuesday March 31, 2026 at 1308 Lakeshore Road East, Oakville from 4 pm - 7 pm.

Thank you to the nurses at OTMH, and the staff at Patty’s Place and Wellbrooke Place who cared for her in her final months. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada to remember Susan.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
