Sumie Alice Fee (Yamamura)

Sumie was born in Vancouver to Kenji and Sarah Yamamura. Her family moved to Oakville after wartime internment in Slocan. She met Arn Fee while working at the Bank of Commerce. They married in 1963 and would have 60 wonderful years together. She deftly balanced a career and motherhood, raising three wonderful children, Sandra, Richard and Kirin (Michael). Sumie was an accomplished watercolour artist and a loyal, kind, compassionate friend to many. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at the age of 88. Sumie will be dearly missed by her husband, children, brother Art Yamamura and wife Cherry. Her five grandchildren, Ethan, Niah, Kalan, Georgia and Virginia. Son-in-law Rick and daughters-in-law Shannon and Tanya. Friends and family invited to a Celebration of Life at 1:00pm, November 3 ^rd at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home. 64 Lakeshore Rd. W. Oakville. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Cancer Research or the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation .
