Steve Mantle passed away in his 67th year at the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal, QC. He is survived by his children, Michela, Nick and Alexandra, their mother Frances and his
brother, James.
He graduated from Western University in 1978 with an Honors Bachelor's Degree in History and later acquired a Masters degree in Business Administration at Dalhousie University. His career in Financial Services spanned over 40 years. He loved working with others and could often be spotted whistling in the halls at work and greeting his colleagues. Those who knew Steve personally and professionally can attest to his love of life. Steve had an unmistakable energy that shone in nearly every room he walked into. It's undeniable that he left a mark on every person he met. Steve had an uncanny ability to make anyone feel special.
Steve had many passions including Monday Night Football, Sade, landscaping and gardening, swimming, sailing, classic cars and perfecting Christmas Eve cocktails. He was an active member in his community. Steve was part of the Best Buddies organization, Oakville Galleries and Code, a children's literacy program. His last endeavor with Spades was aimed to aid in restoring the environment.
A Celebration of Life for Steve will be held on Sunday, April 30th at the Kopriva Taylor from 1-4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Michaels's Hospital in Toronto.
