It is with profound sadness that the family of Shirley Margaret Keates announce her peaceful passing on Jan 26,2025 at the age of 85.
She will be greatly missed by son Jeff and daughter in law Sandra. Grandchildren David, Emily, Alex, Julia, Josh ,Emma and great granddaughter Stella. She was especially close with her sister Muriel Rivers and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by Mike Keates(son) Fred Keates (husband), Muriel Rivers(sister) and brothers Stan, Russell and Murray Bovair as well as Percy and Loretta Bovair ( parents).

Shirley worked at General Electric Oakville for over 40 years and retired in 1998 to spend time with her grand children. She was born in Kimberley, Ontario but spent the majority of her life in and around Oakville Ontario. She enjoyed spending time with family and taking trips with her sister and brothers. In her later years she spent every Tuesday at the Trafalgar community centre with friends.

A  visitation will be held on Friday Jan 31 from 6 to 8 pm at Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home.
The memorial service will be Saturday Feb 1 at 1 pm
