Peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at the Waterford Longterm Care Residence, Oakville. Sheila, loved mother of Leslie and her husband Scott, Mark and his wife Dianna, Cameron and his wife Mia and Erin and her husband David. Cherished grandmother of Amy, Sydney, Brandon, Emily, Noah, Georgia, Charlotte, Elliot and Ewan.
Sheila shared a lifetime passion for food as an accomplished Chef, Instructor, Caterer and Food Columnist with the Oakville Journal Record and the Oakville Beaver. She will be remembered for initiating Oakville's annual Picnic in the Park, as well as her contributions to the Chamber of Commerce and the Oakville Historical Society. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville from 2-4 and 7-9pm Sunday, August 22, 2010. Celebration of Life Service 1:00 pm Monday at St. John's United Church, 262 Randall Street, Oakville. Special thanks to the staff of the Waterford, Bronte Wing, for all their loving care and support.
