Sheila Kennedy
(November 4, 1931 - September 10, 2016)

On Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Halton Healthcare Oakville in her 85th year, Sheila passed away peacefully. Beloved and devoted wife of Matthew for over 63 years. Adored mother of Michael,Gordon(Yvette),Grant(Joyce),Alison and Stuart(Jennifer). Sheila will also be fondly remembered by her six grandchildren, Megan,Adrienne,Matthew,Kathleen,Grant and Ian, by her sister Moira Burgess and brothers David(Joyce),Stuart(Judith),and sister-in law Elspeth (Allan). Sheila was pre deceased by her brother Gordon (Jean) Burgess and brother-in law James (Doris) Kennedy. Sheila will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Will be dearly missed by her wonderful friends Kathleen Wylie, Rosemary Fallowfield,Mary Field and Kathleen Cameron. Sheila was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and was a police officer with Edinburgh City police services before coming to Canada with her husband and son in 1955. Sheila donated to many charities so in lieu of flowers please donate to a charity of your choice. A visitation will be held Wednesday, September 14,2016 at 2-4 and 7-9pm at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road, Oakville.
