Shaun Timothy Teague peacefully passed away on December 4, 2023, at the age of 63. Loved and deeply missed by his siblings Dennis (Jan) Teague, as well as Doris (Art) Johnston, his children Crystal (Paul) Stewart, Joshua (Taylor) Teague, Katrina (Sean) Teague, his grandchildren Tegan, Skyler, Piper, Levi, Hunter, & Shianne, and his many, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Shaun has reunited with his parents James & Gertrude Teague, his siblings Jim, Dar, Gert, & Bob, and far too many other close family and friends that went before him.
Throughout his life, he had an eclectic list of careers that saw him master being a tireman, become a self-taught computer programmer that worked for the Ontario Ministry of Health, but his favourite career of them all was the freedom that came with long haul truck driving. He lived two very different lives with his younger years spent on the back of his motorcycle and his later years finding happiness with his children and grandchildren, with only a small overlap of time between the two.
Everyone that knew him can agree that he had the biggest heart of all and only ever wanted to see others happy. This was evidenced by the little random acts of kindness that he would do whenever he had the ability to do so.
Shaun loved the simpler things in life. He loved the wind in his face and the feeling of being free. He loved the numerous animals that graced his life. He loved his peanut butter sandwiches, his tea unnaturally milky, his steak a little bit too raw, and his music just a touch too loud. Above everything else he loved his children and his grandchildren the most.
Funeral arrangements are set for Sunday December 17th, 2023 at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville. Visitation at 2pm with a service to follow in the chapel at 3pm. A private burial will be taking place at a later time. Family and friends will be gathering at the Bronte Sports Kitchen post service.
In lieu of flowers or other gifts, please donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Compassion Society of Halton , or to the Halton Lighthouse. Please carry on the random acts of kindness in his memory.
