With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Saulina (Sally) Tavares on Sunday December 8, 2013 at the age of 57. Daughter of the late Dimas and Maria Tavares. Sister of Dymas (Anna), wonderful Aunt to Michael (Jessica) and Christina. Lovingly remembered by aunts and uncles, Maria & Carlos Raposo and Moises & Anna Tavares. She will be sadly missed by many cousins here in the United States and Sao Miguel, Azores. Saulina was deeply cared for by her companion Mario DeLucia. Her absence will be felt by so many dear and devoted friends. Constant companions were her loyal 4 legged friends Tiago the dog and Sheeka the cat. Saulina was generous and kind always giving of her time and heart to anyone who asked or was in need. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association Ontario area or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario. Visitation will take place at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) on Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 13, 2013 at St. Joseph's Portuguese Roman Catholic Church, 2451 Old Bronte Road, Oakville. Interment to follow at Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens, Oakville.
