We are sad to announce the passing of our magnificent mother Ruth (Birute) Ramanauskas (nee. Dambrauskas) peacefully on Monday holding the hands of her children Kristina and Michael and her sister Vilijia (Marino Ancona).  Her brother and sister in law Victor and Marlene Ramanauskas were at her side in spirit, and will miss her company immensely. Ron, her loving husband of 52 years, passed away in March of 2019.

After retiring from a long teaching career in Oakville for the Catholic School board, she enjoyed spending time with her friends in RTO, Choir, Bookclubs and travel

She kept her diagnosis private and was asymptomatic for seven years.  Her family wishes to acknowledge the miraculous treatment she received from Dr. Zbuk at the Juravinski Cancer Centre, that gave her so much more time with us, as well as the support received from Halton Healthcare and their team.

Ruth had so many friends that we ask if you can say your goodbye to her by raising a glass of wine and remembering what a spectacular person she was in your own manner.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Ian Anderson Hospice in Oakville where she experienced the finest dignified care before her passing her last day.
