Peacefully passed away at the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital in her 89th year, on Wednesday, September 21, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Clarence James (Ike) Plumpton. Loving mother of Nancy Rynsoever (Paul) and the late Clarence (Jim) Plumpton (Helen). Cherished grandmother of Trent, Rebecca, Christopher and Jonathan. Dear great-grandmother of Liam. Long time member of the Eastern Star and former captain of unit 478 of the Girl Guides of Canada. Ruth will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. A celebration of Ruth's life will be held 2pm on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society is appreciated.
