Robertson Boak
September 11,1938 - October 13, 2023

Rob passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was pre-deceased by his father, Andrew Charles Boak and his mother, Rosamond Perry. He leaves behind Marjorie (nee Orme), his loving wife of 59 years. He was the proud father of Michelle Downing (Chris) and Rob (Angela) and loving grandfather to Amelia and Evan, who brought so much joy to his life.
Rob was president of Non-Ferrous Castings Ltd for 35 years. Rob and Marjorie loved to travel and upon retiring had many adventures together such as hiking in the Alps, visiting a Dude Ranch in Montana and exploring Canada. Rob was an amazing photographer who documented his world travels, his family and his love of nature. He won many awards and had pictures published. He belonged to the Trillium Photography Club for many years. Rob loved playing tennis and squash and he was a long time member of Wallace Park Tennis Club and ORC. He also belonged to The Pathfinders Hiking Club of Oakville and walked the Bruce Trail from end to end (500 kms). He made many friends throughout his life. Rob was a kind and gentle man, and he was dearly loved.
Our family would like to thank the staff of Sunrise, Erin Mills, for their kindness and care of Rob during his time with them. They were exceptional each and every one of them. They have our appreciation.
If desired, a donation may be made to the Alzheimer's Society, the local food bank or St. John's United Church.
A private family service will be held on October 21, 2023 with a celebration of life for family and friends planned for spring 2024.
