It is with his love in our hearts that we announce the death of Bob Mitchell on Friday August 27, 2010. Born in Windsor, Ontario, Bob moved to Oakville 55 years ago with his wife and children. Bob had a long, rewarding career at Confederation Life until his retirement. The following years were dedicated to giving back to the community and reaching out to others through Rotary, fundraising and pastoral care. Bob was a man blessed with many talents, from being a part of Maple Grove United Church's choir to trying his very best to master the game of golf! Bob affected many people's lives and loved to surround himself with family and friends. We feel blessed to say he remained in our arms until the end. Bob is survived by his wife, Bonnie, his sister Ruth Wygant, his children; Jim (Jan Ketley), Jane (Vic Freiheit) and Robyn (Peter Brandt). He was a cherished grandfather to Sarah, Jonathan, Robert John, Kate, Stephanie, Ellen and Brody. There will be a celebration of Bob's life on Sunday September 19th, 2010 at Maple Grove United Church, 346 Maple Grove Road Oakville, Ontario. Service will be at 2:00 pm with a reception following.
