IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Everett
Clarke
July 24, 1936 – June 3, 2025
Bob passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, just a few weeks shy of his 89th birthday. He was born and raised in London, Ontario, to the late Everett and Rena Clarke. He was predeceased by his sisters, Ray Belle (née Clarke) Lieski and Elizabeth (née Clarke) Lally, as well as his brother, David Clarke.
Bob was a loving husband, generous father, and an incredible care partner to his late wife, Joan Marie, aka Bunny Clarke. He is survived by his daughters, Sarah Clarke and Jane (Rick) Dalmus, and his grandchildren, Alejandra and Arabella Dalmus, as well as his nieces and nephews.
Following in his older brother's footsteps, Bob joined the RCAF and later TCA/Air Canada in Montreal, where he met the charming Bunny. He raised his family in Mississauga/Oakville, where he served as a Manager and Check pilot (ACP) throughout the fleet, retiring on the 747-400 after over 37 years with the company. A genuine DIY guy, Bob tackled a wide range of projects during his days off —from cottages and basement builds to patios and English gardening. If you were around him, he would invite you to lend a hand with his various projects. His garage was legendary.
He loved his daily walks to Oakville harbour to watch the boats and birdwatch, including the "big Air Canada birds." We are grateful for the care companions of his: Sharon, Beryl, and Mercedes, who supported him on his dementia journey and inspired his daughter, Sarah, to become a dementia care educator and trainer. He has been called up by his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! The family will have a private memorial.
