Passed away unexpectedly at home on May 13, 2010. Robert will be greatly missed by his son Peter (Miwa) and grandson Liam; sister Jill (Bill Seitz) and brother David (Elizabeth) and nieces and nephews; cherished girlfriend Danuta; and former wife Bev. Rob is pre-deceased by his parents, Gordon and Ruth. Having served as a reserve in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders his enthusiasm for its history and traditions was unwavering. He will be fondly remembered by all for his wonderful sense of humour, kindness and charm, which shone brightest in adversity. Friends are welcome to attend visitation held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (905 844-2600) on Wednesday May 19 from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held at 11 am on Thursday May 20 at St. Jude's Anglican Church 160 William Street, Oakville, Ontario, with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
