It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Robert (Bob) Oliver Adams at Oakville, Ontario on June 8th, 2017. Bob was predeceased by his loving wife Marjorie (Smith) and his brother Jerry (Mary-Jane Ferguson), and is survived by devoted companion Dorothy, daughter Leslie (Doug McLean) and son Bill (Terry Dyer-Adams). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Kim (Brian Edmonds), Don (Lisa Marykuca), Allyson and Lindsey (Cory Brady) and great-grandchildren Ty, Wyatt, Carter and Matthew and many nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Flying Officer Adams served his country during WW2 as a bombardier instructor in Canada and later as a station commanding officer of a Gunnery School in Canada before being posted overseas.

Upon his return to Canada, Bob worked as an accountant with the T. Eaton Company catalogue division. He was transferred to Toronto and retired as the Credit Manager. Throughout his life, Bob participated in many sports. He played competitive hockey in Winnipeg and golfed at the Elmhurst Golf and Country Club for many years. Some of his favorite memories are of hunting with his father "Turk" and his hockey and war-time buddies at Delta marsh.

Bob will be missed by his many friends in Oakville and Delray Beach, Florida. An avid golfer, he was a long time member of the Mississaugua Golf and Country Club. Bob was a wonderful and unique gentleman; everyone knew Bob, and everyone who knew him has a favorite story or anecdote about their relationship with him. He will be sadly missed.

Cremation has taken place. Internment will take place at St Jude's Anglican Memorial Garden in Oakville at a later time.
