It is with great sadness that the family of Rick Aldridge announce his passing on Saturday, May 7th, 2022. He leaves behind his high school sweetheart and wife of almost 52 years Nancy, his 3 children and 4 grandchildren - Lauren and Rod (Nathan and Abby), Mark and Nancy (William and Amelia) and Gavin and Kelly. Family meant everything to him.

Born in London, England, Rick immigrated to Canada in his early years and considered Canada his home from then on. He attended a few different schools in the Toronto area before settling in Oakville to finish his high school years.

Never one to sit still, Rick went through many professions throughout his life. He graduated from Guelph University with a degree in Microbiology. He worked first in a lab, but moved on to the corporate world, working at Aramark, Globe Graphics, Ashton Potter, Transcontinental Printing, and finally at HSBC as COO. Keeping busy during "retirement," he did many part time jobs until becoming President of his Condo Community, which he thoroughly enjoyed.

Rick's interests included watching his grandchildren's sporting activities, cruising, watching old movies, the Civil War, and visiting with friends and family.

Visitation will be held on Friday May 13, 2022 at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block East of Kerr Street) from 7 pm - 9 pm.  Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday May 14, 2022 in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11 am.

In Rick's memory,  a donation to your favorite charity would be welcomed.

Rick will be loved and missed forever.
