In Loving Memory of Ray

Ray, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully in Oakville on November 4th, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication. Born and raised in England, Ray's journey through life was marked by his immense passion for music, family, and his furry friends.  From an early age,
Ray was an avid cyclist,  bird watcher and fishing enthusiast.

Ray was an ardent admirer of Bob Marley, often finding solace and joy in the timeless rhythms and lyrics of his songs. His love for music was a reflection of his vibrant and warm spirit. Above all, Ray cherished his family. He was a devoted husband to Carmen, a loving father to his children Kay, Rachael, and Cy, a supportive father-in-law to Stacey, and the proudest grandfather to his granddaughter, Claire, who was the light of his life.

Ray was not only a family man but also a successful entrepreneur. He owned and managed his own construction management company, where he dedicated his professional life to building not just structures, but relationships and communities. His work ethic and integrity were admired by all who knew him.  His passing is a profound loss to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.

His culinary prowess was legendary; a passionate cook, Ray delighted in taking over the kitchen to prepare Jamaican and English classics. He was especially known for his Sunday big breakfast,  memorable curry goat dinners and Christmas feasts, where his famous Christmas rum cake was a much-anticipated highlight.

Ray was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers football fan. Every weekend he could be found cheering for his favourite team, sharing the highs and lows of the game with his son Cy.

Rest in peace Ray, your legacy of love, food, and music, will continue to inspire those who knew and loved you.
