We are deeply saddened to share that Ralph Robert Burns passed peacefully, with family on the morning of October 30, 2025 at age 76.

Born in Surrey, England, Ralph came to Canada where he met the love of his life, Claire, in Hamilton, Ontario. Together they built a beautiful life and raised their family in Val Caron, surrounded by friendship, community, and love.

Ralph will be forever loved and remembered by his wife Claire, his daughters Shelley (Paul McGuire), Angela (Gordon Longerich), and Melissa, and his grandchildren Hayden, Graeson, Hailey, and Ryan. He is also remembered by Richard, father of Hailey and Ryan.

Ralph is predeceased by his parents Queenie and Ralph, and his beloved sister Linda and her husband Gordon. He will be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, who all held a special place in his heart.

A true enthusiast of all things mechanical, Ralph devoted his life to the automotive world and had a deep passion for racing — both motorcycles and cars. He loved not only driving them, but building them, piece by piece, with patience and pride. He was happiest around engines, open roads, and good stories shared in the garage.

Ralph also loved the outdoors. He enjoyed days spent at camp and peaceful time fishing — always a catch-and-release man, enjoying the quiet, the water, and the simple joy of the moment. These passions reflected the core of who he was: steady, thoughtful, loyal, and full of heart.

His warmth, his steady presence, and his quiet kindness touched everyone who knew him.

A visitation to honour Ralph will be held on Thursday, November 6th from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville, ON L6K 1E1.

We will miss him beyond measure.
