Raie Thomas Hill born in Toronto Nov. 15, 1928, aged 86, passed away suddenly at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He rejoins his devoted wife of 65 years Bridget Elizabeth Hill, who passed away on March 28, 2015. His unwavering spirit and passion to his faith will live on with those he entertained with his inspiring and enlightening conversation. Loving father to eight children, Michael, Steven, Richard,Terrance, Gary, Brian, Sharon, Valerie and their spouses. Grandfather to Michael, Justin, Shawn, Chris, Melanie, Rebecca, Andrew, Stuart, Larry, Amanda, Cody, Hollis, Adam, Travis, Caleigh, Samantha, and Houston. Great grandfather to many. Loved by all. His death leaves a heartache no one can ever heal but memories no one can ever steal. His memorable words are "Don't forget to say your prayers" and "You're in charge 'til I get back". Visitation will be at Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville, on Monday, August 17, 2015 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church, 2415 Rebecca St, Oakville on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 10 am., followed by interment at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery, 1149 Dundas Street West,Oakville. Following the interment a celebration of Raie's and Bridget's life will take place at the Harbour Banquet & Conference Centre, 2340 Ontario St.(between Jones Street and Nelson Street). The family is forever greatful to the Oakville Trafalgar Hospital ED, ICU units and Halton EMS. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation are appreciated.
