After a courageous struggle with leukemia, Barry passed away peacefully at home on October 31st after celebrating his 70th birthday on October 26th. He will be greatly missed by his wife Ann, and his stepchildren Dawn Ellis Hare, Scott Ellis and Maralyn Ellis (Frank Meeussen), as well as his sister Pat Male (Russ) and his nieces Terry and Susan, and his eleven grandchildren, Stephanie, Marc and Sydney (Hare), Justine, Danielle, Steven, Cassi, Jaimie and Abbie (Ellis), and Giliam and Jorren (Meeussen). Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation to McMaster University, Leukemia/BMT Fund, Dr. Brian Leber, Department of Medicine, McMaster University Medical Centre, 1200 Main St. West, Hamilton, Ontario, L8N 3Z5 would be greatly appreciated.
