After a lengthy battle with cancer, the Lord has called Pieter unto Himself. Born July 20, 1929 in Rotterdam. Loving husband of Johanna Cornelia van Putten-Maliepaard, and loving father of Johannes and his wife Maryann and the late Peter. Cherished grandfather of Christina Jolie and Julia Michelle. Pieter will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his brother Johannes van Putten and his wife Riet van Putten-Rullens, as well as family and friends in both The Netherlands and Canada. A funeral service will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. West, Oakville, (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) 11:00 am Tuesday April 1, 2008 with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment Spring Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
