It is with sadness that the family announces the death of Phyllis Williamson on Sat. July 23, 2011 at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington in her 94th year. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Norman. Phyllis was the esteemed mother and mother-in-law of Carole and Abbey Lipson, Shirley and Michael Rothery and Doug and the late Wendy Fradette/Williamson. Dear grandmother of Bobby Armitage (wife Natalie) and the late Heidi Armitage (husband Adam Green) Eric and David Rothery, Mathew and Phillip Williamson. Proud great-grandmother of Walker, Georgia, Holden, Cassidy, Gabriel and Aziree. She will be missed by best friend Barb Malcolmson. Phyllis is survived by her brother Bob and sister-in-law Jean Murdoch. A long time resident of Oakville, Phyllis had been an active member of the Oakville Golf Club, an avid bridge player and a volunteer at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital for over 40 years. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the many individuals who helped care for Phyllis at the Joseph Brant Hospital and at Lakeshore Place. A private family commemoration will be taking place.
