With great love and sadness, the family of Phyllis Lorraine Burns (Smyth) announces her passing, with her three children by her side, on September 29th, 2014, at the Oakville Trafalgar Hospital. She was in her 83rd year. Loving wife for 50 years of husband John (deceased January 17th, 2003), she is survived by identical twin sons Steven (Kathy), Scott (Lucrezia), and daughter Lori (John), grandchildren Melissa (Paul), Daniela (Massimo), Bruce (Talitha), Jessica, Fiona, and Patrick, and great grandchildren Dylan, Chase, Caitlin, Leonardo, and Bentley. Predeceased by sister Audrey and loving parents Warner and Lillie Smyth of Teeswater, Ontario. The family extends a special thank you to the Oakville hospital for the gentle care in her final days of life, and offers gratitude to the wonderful friends at the Oakville Senior's Centre, the Ennisclare Apartments, and Walton Memorial United Church. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, October 5th, 2014, at Walton Memorial United Church (2489 Lakeshore West, Oakville).
