Passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Post Inn Village, Oakville in his 93rd year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary Laura (Bulich) of 58 years. The proud and loving father of Robert Worsfold (Beth Malcolm), Beverly, Donna, Debbie (Roy Shimabuku), Penny (Bruce Montgomery) and George (Norine Walsh). Much loved Deedee to Jennifer Worsfold-Alliban (Daniel); John Worsfold; and Patrick, Jordan and Brandon Kolaski. Great Deedee to Tyne Alliban, Brooklyn and Lily Worsfold. The youngest of six children of the late William Kolaski and Vasylena Matymish, he was also predeceased by his brothers John, George (Myrtle) and Nick Kolaski and sisters Anne Darling (Basil) and Victoria Ropchan (George). Peter is survived by his cousin Berniece Miller (Harvey). Peter was a dedicated husband and father. Peter's accomplishments as one of the top amateur welterweight boxers in Canada during the 1940's in southern Ontario was formally recognized on October 8, 1988 when he was officially inducted into the Canadian Boxing Hall of Fame. Peter worked as a bricklayer for many years in the U.S. and Canada until he retired. He was a mall walker at Oakville Place and enjoyed playing bid euchre weekly in Waterdown. His declining health necessitated his recent move to Post Inn Village. Thank you to the staff that looked after our dear Peter. He will be greatly missed and forever loved. Friends and family are invited to visit the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A service celebrating Peter's life will be held Friday, September 16, 2016 in the Kopriva Taylor Chapel at 11am. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Peter's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charity.
