Petar Brinjak passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 17, 2024 at the age of 91.  He lived a full life, having immigrated from a small village in Croatia to Canada in 1970.   Beloved husband of 50 years to Kata (deceased), and loving father of 3. He built a wonderful life for his family in Canada and leaves behind his daughter Mary and her husband Branko Lopac, son Ivan and wife Anela Brinjak, and son Joe and wife Marianne Brinjak.  Proud and cherished Dedo of Josipa, Ana, Katarina, Ana, Marko, Kristina, Luka, Ema, and Kristina and 10 great-grandchildren in Croatia. Family and friends in Canada and Croatia will miss him dearly. Petar is predeceased by his sisters Anka Mrzljak and Kata Cunic.

Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd West, Oakville (905 844-2600) on Friday January 19th, 2024 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (2110 Trafalgar Rd N., Oakville) on Saturday January 20th, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Interment following mass at Greenwood Cemetery in Georgetown. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Holy Trinity Catholic Church are appreciated.
