It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Goguen, age 86, on April 11, 2023 after an 11-year-long battle with dementia.  Paul was born on January 4, 1937 in Saint John, NB to Alida and Joseph.

Paul moved to Toronto in the 1950s, with his family of 8 brothers and sisters, and worked as a crane operator for 30 years.  He dabbled in many sports, including hockey, golfing, swimming, bowling, fishing, playing pool and darts.   One of the highlights of his life was spending the day on his nephew Kevin's lobster boat in PEI, along with visiting family down east.   He was a fun-loving guy, who loved life to the fullest.  He would also lend a hand to anyone who asked.   He was generous with his time and would share whatever he had.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Paul was pre-deceased by his wife Jean, who passed away from cancer in 1981 when she was 47. He never remarried and spent his years with his four children, Mary (Warren), John (Laura), Peter (May) and Danny, along with his 3 grandchildren Sarah, Alex, and Kyle.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 19, 2023, at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville from 5 pm - 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday April 20, 2023 at Saint Dominic Parish, 2415 Rebecca Street, Oakville at 10:30 am.

Special thanks to the staff at Billings Court Manor in Burlington, who took care of Paul for more than 4 years.  We appreciate them so much.
